We are pleased and excited to share updates from across the Centre, including recent improvements, future plans and the support that helps our community stay connected.

Harvest Fair & Strawberry Tea

Both events were a wonderful success, showcasing the fresh produce from the community garden. So much produce was made in to delicious Jams, chutneys, soups and quiches.

We will be holding a Strawberry Tea again next year after all the wonderful reviews.

Our honesty shed and Bookswop continues to operate through the winter with seasonal veg and a good book to snuggle up with.

Facilities & digital update

The male and female toilets have now been upgraded.

Our website was also launched this has also increased the volume of classes on offer.

New for spring 2027! We’re introducing a Family Fun Honesty Box! Packed full of ball games, bats, picnic blankets and everything you need for a little outdoor adventure. for use in the recreational grounds.

Building Improvements

We are delighted to announce that The Centre Simpson Cross has been awarded Grants from the National Lottery and Welsh Government.

To transform the exterior of the building, insulating and replacing the rusted panels also provide a much-needed porch to help keep the heat in the hall. This work will commence in early spring 2027.

Outdoor Gym

For all you fitness fanatics you asked and we listened! A huge thank you to South Hook LNG for supporting the Centre with a grant for outdoor gym equipment. The equipment will be erected in early spring 2027.

Staying Connected

A massive thank you to Voneus for providing Wi-Fi for the last two years. This uninterrupted service has made it possible to hold the full range of events at The Centre and take card payments. It has been a highly valuable service.
